Massage and Yoga for Baby

Infant massage is a timeless tradition in many cultures around the world.  Infant massage can help improve muscle tone and sleep, encourage bonding and confidence in parents and improve cognitive function in babies.  In this hour-long class you will learn how to safely and effectively massage your baby and move them through yoga poses designed to help them learn and grow into their new bodies.  You will also learn about which oils to use to promote a safe and natural experience for you and your baby.  Both parents/caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Partners Massage for the Third Trimester

Building your relationship as partners during pregnancy is important.  It requires communication and mutual understanding.  This class will teach you a simple routine for safe, effective massage to enhance your bonding and communication through positive touch.  You will learn proper massage techniques and how to bring relief to your partner during pregnancy.  You are asked to wear comfortable clothes you can move in as this is a hands-on class.  Also please bring a blanket to class.

Yoga and Acupressure for Labor

Breastfeeding and Yoga

Breastfeeding is a wonderful way to bond with your baby as well as nature's perfect food.  Come to this workshop to learn how yoga can enhance your and your baby's experience.  We will talk about poses to strengthen and restore sore muscles, breathing exercises to calm and soothe mom and baby and how yoga poses can be adapted for breastfeeding.  Participants will be expected to bring their own mat... and their babies, of course.

Postnatal Yoga Basics

In this 90 minute workshop we will learn how to safely get back into your yoga pratice after having a baby.  We will cover poses and breathing to help you rediscover your body awareness and increase strength.  This is not a "Mommy and Me"-style class, but participants can bring their little ones along to learn how to practice yoga with them.  Participants should bring their own mats, but all other props will be provided.

A VBAC Primer

In this 60 minute class we will be discussing starting babies on solids.  We will cover first foods, finder foods, infant nutrition and food allergies.  You will also learn how to make eating healthy foods fun and easy.  You will also learn how to make your own healthy baby food for your baby.
